JBL For Professionals Only

Role: Art Director / Industrial Designer / Graphic Designer

The Harman Marketing team tasked Huemen with the development of the “For Professionals Only” seeding kit design. These seeding kits were sent to influencers and important individuals in their respective industries on behalf of JBL brand ambassadors. Working parallel with Sophia Chang, we were able to create a visually engaging unboxing experience from beginning to finish.

 

The Approach

Starting at the ground floor, we brainstormed a few packaging concepts that were built around the product box dimensions. Experimenting with top-and bottom and latch-opening form factors, we were all in agreement that the top-and-bottom would be the best option to move forward with. To add to the unboxing experience, we developed custom cards that will sit in front of the product. This card will have a message from the JBL ambassador. Working with a few concepts of Sophia Chang’s illustrations, we collaborated on the final artwork layout.

The Result

The final result was a multi-step seeding kit unboxing experience that received a lot of love via social media, and resulted in an overachieving amount of engagement.
