BUILT Product Catalogs
Role: Art Director / Creative Director / Graphic Designer
Working for BUILT, we were tasked every year with creating product catalogs that would be sent to potential wholesale buyers / big box accounts for ordering purposes. Upon my arrival at BUILT, I felt that the catalogs had the opportunity to show a little bit more personality and be more engaging. From there, we ramped up the photography, page layouts and composition to form a more entertaining catalog experience.
The Approach
Our new approach to these catalogs were to showcase the product in its best light, and make sure it is the focal point of the page. Integrating bold colors and setting up exciting product shots helped make the products jump off the page. As for prop design, we wanted to build an environment that expressed non-verbal communication that connected to either the product use case, or the graphical pattern that was featured.
The Result
The final outcome resulted in revamped product showcases that led to increased sales and implementation across multiple touch points.
